Riverwalk Concert Series — Summer Fridays at Riverwalk Crossing

The Riverwalk Concert Series is downtown Jacksonville's go-to summer event — free outdoor concerts every Friday evening through the warm months, with the New River as your backdrop and food trucks lining the park.

What to Expect

The Riverwalk Concert Series has been a Jacksonville tradition for years and books a mix of beach music, country, classic rock, and Top-40 acts pulled from regional touring bands and Carolina favorites. Most weeks pull a crowd of a few hundred Jacksonville locals and Camp Lejeune families — laid-back, family-friendly, and genuinely fun.

Plan Your Night

• Bring lawn chairs or a blanket. There's no fixed seating — most regulars stake out a spot on the grass an hour before the music starts.
• Food trucks roll in. Don't pack dinner — try whatever's parked that week. Many of the local food vendors on our Jacksonville restaurants directory set up here through the season.
• Drinks: Beer and wine are usually sold on-site; outside alcohol policies vary year to year, so check the latest rules.
• Parking: Free street parking and lots downtown. Get there before 6:00 PM on big-name nights.
• Bring bug spray. You're on the river. Mosquitos show up around dusk.

Family Tips

This is one of the most kid-friendly events Jacksonville hosts. Kids run around on the grass, dance near the stage, and grab snow cones from the food trucks. The downtown Riverwalk also has playground equipment and waterfront views for kids who don't want to sit still through the whole concert.
