Don’t judge this book by its cover. Not the prettiest looking place. Trust me it’s worth stopping in. I stopped off season and unfortunately it’s was dark. I sat at the bar and took the bartenders suggestion and ordered the crab dip. Its was a great pic. Very creamy and delicious. The next suggestion was the jambalaya with shrimp and chicken. It was good not great but still a solid dish. Unfortunately as much as I wanted to try one of the house made desserts I was full. Maybe next time when in the area.

5 Stars for Stacie’s Shining Hospitality! Runner up are the fine Cypress Specimens they’ve saved on the back deck. Delicious Bloody Mary & Handmade Hushpuppies

Great place on the water with picturesque scenes of the sunset and an alligator and birds and fish jumping. Beautiful. It looks like there is non-stop Jimmy Buffett playing and of course the classic parrot squawking in the background made it absolutely perfect. Just a couple of co-workers/friends having a few drinks and a dinner. Will be back!

The exterior was almost enough to turn us away, but we decided to believe the high star rating. The main room inside was in better shape, and nicely decorated—loved the bar chairs. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced—there is a little bit of everything. We had a hard time deciding! The food was average. We had a fried and a broiled seafood platter that were good. The crab melt was decent. Our daughter had the chicken and pasta with marinara and the sauce was not great. She ended up mostly eating the chicken. The service was great—our waitress was very nice and helpful. The bathrooms I would avoid—water on the floors, bad smelling and a mysterious jelly like substance under the toilets. We went into the banquet room to see the parrot which our daughter loved, the excrement all over the floor wasn’t exactly appealing in a restaurant setting though. Honestly, I wish we hadn’t left the main dining area, as the banquet room and bathrooms raised so many questions about cleanliness. If just considering price and food taste we would probably go back, but when factoring in the atmosphere, the lingering thought about cleanliness made me wonder if the kitchen was dirty… which ruined the enjoyment of the food. A little bit of exterior TLC and a bathroom overhaul could really make this a great place—especially because of the location on the water.
